Special appreciation goes out to Anna and Erik of the Steinlage Insurance Agency. Five yrs ago, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure but he was in great health in every other way. Did you know that stress raises your blood pressure and somehow that can result in clogging up your kidneys and causing kidney decline/failure? That's what Drs say killed my husband's kidneys. So, please, take your BP medicine.Anyhow, my husband's kidney transplant co-ordinator, Jenny, recommended the Steinlage Agency because she knew they had helped hundreds of transplant recipients get their insurance in order. You can't get a transplant if you don't have the insurance lined up to cover all the bills. It has to be enough insurance to cover pre-surgery care like dialysis 3 times a week, 4 or 5 hours each time. It has to cover the surgery, of course, and the after care hospital stay and anti rejection medications. So much to cover. You have to get your insurance ducks in a row or you won't get on the transplant list.Luckily, there are people like Erik Steinlage and Anna who stay on top of the insurance required to stay eligible and covered for transplant surgery. Just yesterday, Erik reassured us that the actual transplant surgery should only cost about $280, if a match ever comes through.While we pray for a healthy kidney, we also pray no one does for my husband to receive it. Mostly we pray his own kidneys will receive miracle healing and recover enough to get him off dialysis. It might be a pipe dream but we ask you to pray for kidney care/improvement breakthroughs every day.But I'm here to give readers looking for help a little confidence in contacting the Steinlage Insurance Agency. Ask for Anna or Erik. We highly recommend them both.

The Steinlage Insurance Agency was recommended to us 5 years ago when my husband first was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, stage 4, and put on dialysis. Otherwise in great health, my husband qualified for the transplant list. But, as we all know, nothing is free. In order to receive a kidney transplant, the proper insurance has to be in.place. it has to be enough to cover the transplant surgery, and all care before and after, including medications. Our kidney transplant co-ordinator recommended the Steinlage Agency to help us negotiate/purchase all the insurance required. The agency has helped hundreds of transplant recipients get their insurance in order so they could qualify on the coverage, therefore they were able to stay on the list and receive a new kidney. With the insurances in place, the kidney surgery should coast is about $280.Special appreciation shout goes out to day for Angela who I've played phone and email tag alot with. She sticks with it until we actually catch up with one another and can discuss our business and insurance needs. I've never met her in person but she is worth double her weight in gold. Always pleasant no matter how cranky I can get, she helps me to have confidence that she and Erik Steinlage are on top of our insurance needs. I don't remember the exact amount of people they have helped get transplant insurance lined up for, but it's a whole lot. I am confident that they have our best interests at heart. I don't think you will find a better agency to help you with your insurance needs..

Choosing the right Medicare coverage can be confusing and an overwhelming process for many people including myself. Medicare system offers two main paths Medigap and Advantage plan each with complex options, costs and coverage rules.Angela helped me temedously to understand the differences between these choices. Without her expert guidance and knowledge and my careful research I would not have been able to make a choice.My advice is to not wait until you turn 65, you should begin this process of reaching out to the expert, reseaching and learning at least 12 months in advance.

Ted F. patiently walked me through the intricate process of understanding and electing the right options for me as I transition from my employer private health insurance program to Medicare. He explained things very clearly and responded to all my questions, also raising with me and helping me resolve issues never occurring to me. (Like most who have been brought to understand the options, I opted for Part B plus Supplements G and D along with Dental coverage.) His task was made harder because I am in the throes of dealing with a new serious medical challenge in the months ahead and needed to plan for that eventuality and because, on that same call, Ted simultaneously had to address many questions from my wife, an existing Steinlage client, but who is facing with changing circumstances. He short, he was terrific, and I highly recommend him without hesitation.

My case was a little complicated because it involves my wife and uncertainty when I would lose my employer health insurance. Manny did a terrific job at answering ALL of my questions, and explaining what I needed to know to make the best decision for my situation. It took a full hour, but I came away with a solid plan for the future, and confidence that if things slipped for a month or a year or several, we would still be fine. Update 9/19/25: Here I am a couple of years into retirement, and the questions havent gotten any simpler.
